Part 3

These three questions come from tulli practice exam 1. Pick your answer first, then open "Show the answer". The questions are in Dutch, like the exam.
Question 1
Listen
Ik sta elke ochtend om zes uur op. Hoe laat staat u op? Vertel ook wat u dan als eerste doet.
Show the answer
What a good answer contains:
Say what time you get up (a clock time, or early or late).
Say what you do first after getting up.
A short answer with some unclear parts is still acceptable. Example: "Om half zeven. Eerst koffie." Also fine: "Ik sta niet vroeg op, ik werk niet. Ik drink eerst thee."
Model answer:
Ik sta meestal om half acht op. Eerst drink ik een kop koffie, daarna ga ik onder de douche.
Question 2
Listen
Dit is Yara. Vertel wat over Yara. Noem drie dingen. Gebruik het plaatje.
Show the answer
What a good answer contains:
Say where Yara is (outside, by a tree, in the park).
Say what she does (she is walking, she goes for a walk).
Say who or what is with her (a dog, a pram with a baby).
Any three correct details count, also others you see in the picture.
A short answer with some unclear parts is still acceptable. Example: "De vrouw loopt met een hond en een kinderwagen. Ze is buiten."
Model answer:
Yara loopt buiten, bij een boom. Ze heeft een hond en een kinderwagen met een baby.
Question 3
Listen
U bent jarig en wilt dat vieren. Wat doet u liever? Vertel ook waarom. Kies een van de plaatjes.
Show the answer
What a good answer contains:
Choose one picture: a party at home or a meal in a restaurant.
Give a reason (cheaper, cosier, more people can come, no cooking).
A short answer with some unclear parts is still acceptable. Example: "Het eerste plaatje. Thuis is goedkoper."
Model answer:
Ik kies het eerste plaatje. Ik vier mijn feestje liever thuis, dan kunnen al mijn vrienden komen. En het is goedkoper.
Speaking tips
Answer every part of the question. If it says "tell me why too", give a reason.
Speak in full sentences, even short ones. Use "omdat" (because) for a reason.
Do not go silent. Missing a word? Say it another way, for example "the thing to write with" for "pen".
Practise out loud and record yourself. Listen back and compare with the model answer.
Use the tulli checklist after each answer. It shows what you often forget, like "where" or "why".
